HUBERT, David Carl – with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our dear husband and father, peacefully at home, on Saturday, May 14, 2022 in his 67th year following a long battle with Cancer.

David Hubert of Pembroke, co-owner of Hubert’s Springhill Nursery. Beloved husband of 46 years to Kathleen Hubert (nee Kendell). Dear father of Krista Hubert, Virginia Hubert & Tera Dojczman (Jacob) all of Pembroke. Cherished brother of Linda Budarick (Dan), James Hubert, Ruth Van Wyk (Richard), Timothy Hubert, Donna Forsyth, Nancy Hubert, Arlene Loor (Horacio) & Connie Chesworth (Scott). Beloved uncle to Madeline Chesworth. Loving son of Edna Hubert (nee Wilson) and the late Donald Hubert. Survived and missed by sister-in-law Maureen Barker (David) and their children; Yolanda, Alicia & Kevin as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

David was the heart, mind and driving force here at the nursery, having started the business back in 1982 while working night shifts at Pembroke Civic Hospital. We deeply appreciate the expressions of sympathy we have already received, and we thank you all for being patient with some of us being missing during this busy season! From our family to yours, don’t put off those hugs, say how much you love each other every chance you get, and when you have the opportunity, plant something and watch it grow, together.
