GRIFE, Clarence Desmond Passed away peacefully at the Pembroke Regional Hospital on Monday, April 27, 2009 in his 86th year. Clarence Grife of Pembroke, dear father of Sharon Biesenthal (Marvin), Pembroke; David Grife (Gale), Kingston; Heather Gagne (Dan), Ottawa; and Peter Grife (Gwen), Ottawa. Grandpa to Julie Johnstone (Jim), Kelly Kellough (Trevor), Michael Grife (Leslie), Shannon Gagne (Bonnie), Kayley Gagne, and Justin Grife. Great-grandfather of Christopher & Michael Johnstone, and Hayden & Macie Gagne. Brother of Emgard McCourt (late Ory), Ottawa; Earl Grife (Eva), Deep River; and Leonard Grife, Hearst. Predeceased by brothers Melville (late Betty) and Percy Grife; and sister Marion Sandford. Son of the late Charles & Martha Grife (nee Beskau), and former husband of the late Eleanor Grife (nee Biederman). Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Visitation at the MALCOLM, DEAVITT & BINHAMMER FUNERAL HOME, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke, on Thursday, April 30, 2009 from 12 noon until time of the Funeral Service in the Chapel at 2:00 p.m. Interment in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Pembroke.
