NELSON, Charles Gary (Red) (1932-2008) Passed away on March 8th, 2008. NELSON, Charles Gary (Red) - (1932-2008) passed away on March 8th, 2008. Gary (Red) Nelson of Pembroke, dearly loved husband of Joyce Nelson (nee Coffey). Gary's remains were donated to Science in thankfulness to the medical community for their care in his years of failing health. It is hoped that this gesture has been of service in medical research and the training of future physicians. A "Service of Committal" will be held on Sunday, July 17, 2011 at 2 p.m. in the Calvin United/First Presbyterian Cemetery on Boundary Rd., Pembroke. In the event of inclement weather, the service will be held in Calvin United Church on the corner of Renfrew and Church Street. A Time of Fellowship will be held in Calvin United Church Hall (enter from the Church St. entrance) following the graveside service.
