Catherine Varvaresos

VARVARESOS, Catherine Julia - passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, March 30, 2018 in her 72nd year.

Catherine Varvaresos (nee Yantha) of Pembroke, beloved wife of James Varvaresos, with whom she was the proud owner/operator of the Golden Plate Restaurant for many years.  Loving mother of Tom (Angie), Ottawa; Michael (Candice), North Bay; & Dean (Jennifer), Pembroke; and cherished grandmother of Gracelyn.  Dear sister of Eldon Yantha (Geraldine), Betty McDaniels (Wayne) & Wanda Dunn (William).  Predeceased by her parents Michael and Ida Yantha (nee Fabian) and sister Margaret Hagarty (late Howard).  Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Respecting Catherine's wishes, there will be no visitation.  A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at 1:00 p.m.  Spring Interment in Calvin United Cemetery.  (As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Dementia Society of Ottawa & Renfrew County would be appreciated.)  Online condolences and donations are available at www.mdbfuneralhome.com.
