ELLIOTT, Burton Lloyd Burt Elliott, longtime and well known businessman, passed away at Miramichi Lodge after a long battle with Alzheimer's, on Friday, May 9th, 2014, at the age of 84 years. Loving husband of 62 years to Elaine (nee Matthews). Dear father of Robert Elliott (Sonia), Anne Scott (the late Bob), Elizabeth Robinson (Scott), Judy Farrell (the late Larry) and Janice Thrasher (Phillip). Cherished "Pops" to Richard, Amy, Angie, Lauren, Cale, Jamie, Kimberly, Matthew and Andrew. Special "Great Pops" to Nate, Tyson, Emma, Sadie, Henry, Lindsay, Brett and Aliyah. Son of the late Dawson & Edith Elliott (nee Moore). Brother of Irwin Elliott (late Rita). Predeceased by brother Cecil Elliott (late Lettie) and sister Marna Brumm (late Verner). Brother-in-law of Phyllis Gould (late Arthur). Survived by many special nieces and nephews. Burt operated a successful car dealership for many years. He loved life and cherished his family foremost. He was a fun loving guy who had an abundance of friendships that lasted his lifetime. Burt loved to boat, hunt, snowmobile, play pool, dance (Oh Lord - how he loved to dance!) and any activity that involved his family and friends. Friends may call at the MALCOLM, DEAVITT & BINHAMMER FUNERAL HOME, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will follow at Greenwood United Church at 3:00 p.m. Inurnment in Greenwood United Cemetery.
