Bill Doucette

Doucette, William (Bill) Paul, Captain CD 1947-2013 Bill Doucette of Lake Dore, Ontario passed away at the Pembroke Regional Hospital on March 17, 2013 with his wife Madeline (Maddie) Matheson at his side. The son of the late Nick and Betty (Lowry) Doucette of Fort Frances, Ontario, Bill was predeceased by daughters Michelle Didion and Nathalie Sirois and grandson Kevin Schuler. Along with his wife Maddie, Bill is survived by his son Roger Doucette and granddaughter Jeannine Didion both of Germany, brothers James Doucette (Suzanne) of Port Elgin, Ontario and Douglas Doucette (Twila) of Smithers, B.C. He is fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews as well as family and friends. Bill's military career in the Security Branch of the Canadian Forces spanned 28 years and included postings within Canada, Europe and the Middle East. As a Security Consultant with the United Nations, Bill's employment took him to several countries within the Middle East, Africa, the South Pacific and Asia. Bill's "Celebration of Life" will be held at the hotel/restaurant "The Sands on Golden Lake", in Deacon, Ontario on Saturday, March 23rd at 2 p.m.
