Bill Dainty

God called another angel to Heaven in William “Bill” Dainty on December 6th in his 76th year.

Bill Dainty of Petawawa, best friend & love for 50+ years to Sharon (nee Steward), Dad to Katie (Mike) and Grampie & bestie to Nila (Toadie). Son of Jean Dainty (Herbert, deceased) and brother to Gerry Dainty (Marilyn) and Linda Paterson (Keith). Son-in-law of Barbara Steward (Don, deceased). Brother-in-law to Debbie Mick (Reid), Star Pearson (Don, deceased), Keith Giller (Frankie-Jane, deceased) and Fred Steward (Cindy). Uncle to Bill Dainty (Kim), Michael Dainty (Marj), Jamey Mick (Sonia), Shawna Enright (JT), Jennie Mick, Suzanne Dainty (Ryan), Rebecca Felber (Matt), Eythan Steward (Janessa), Laura Paterson-Whelan (Kevin), Godson Jon Paterson and their families. 

Bill was an avid and talented hockey player in his day and spent 40 years perfecting the CFB Petawawa golf course and curling rink, earning him the title of “The Ice-Man”. He was a farmer at heart and loved Massey-Harris tractors and all things farm equipment. Despite many years of health complications, Bill always had a smile and a handshake for anyone he met.

Cremation has taken place and services will be arranged at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, Pembroke.
