GRIFE, Beulah Rosaline - passed away peacefully at the Renfrew Victoria Hospital on Sunday, January 17, 2021 in her 82nd year.
Beulah Grife (nee Zimmerling) of Rankin, beloved wife of the late Maurice Grife. Dear mother of Shelley (nee Grife), mother-in-law of Emile Tavares and grandmother of Morrison. Daughter of the late Alfred and Annie Zimmerling (nee Schroeder). Sister of Ronnie Zimmerling (Rosemary). Sister-in-law of Beatrice Biederman (late Bob). Predeceased by her brother Wilfred, sister Lillian Vanclief (Tom) and brothers-in-law Arthur (late Ruby) and Verner Grife. Survived by nieces Linda, Debbie and Tania and predeceased by niece Mary and nephew Brent. Also survived by many great-nieces and nephews.
Beulah was born in Otter Lake, Quebec on February 23, 1939 to Annie (Schroeder) and Alfred Zimmerling. After marrying her beloved Maurice in 1974, she made her forever home on the farm in Rankin, Ontario. A few years later, they welcomed their only child and beloved daughter Shelley. Beulah will be remembered for being a kind, gentle, funny and loving person. Her life was filled with helping her community centre, church, neighborhood, friends, family or whoever needed her. She was always the first person to volunteer her time to baking, giving donations and being a good listener. She became known as “Aunt Beulah” to many friends throughout her circle.
The family would like to especially thank the staff and volunteers of Caressant Care Nursing & Retirement Homes (Cobden) for their exceptional care and compassion given to Beulah during her time there. You have all really touched our hearts.
