Mohns, Betty Ann Shiflett

September 8th, 1930 – June 6th, 2018

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Betty Ann Shiflett Mohns of Pembroke, Ontario on June 6th, 2018. 

Beloved wife of the late Wallace Mohns.  Dearly loved mother of Theresa Frye (Gerald) of Centre, Alabama; Lloyd Amory (Rosalinda Diaz) of Dozier, Alabama; Luther Amory of Newberry, Florida; Elizabeth Amory (David Bassett) of Snellville, Georgia; Capres Amory (Lisa) of Suffolk, Virginia; and Lianne Mohns (Marc Latreille) of Shawville, Quebec.  Cherished Granny to Kenley (Lisa), Cory (Jody), Joshua (Kimberly), Capres Jr. (Karina), Sarah (Neil) and Kacy. Proud Great-Granny to Kenley Jr., Ethan, Samantha, and Gabriel.  Predeceased by her parents, Norman and Agnes Shiflett of Cedartown, Georgia.  Survived by her sister, Barbara Smith (R.K.) of Lookout Mountain, Georgia; her brother-in-law, Edwin Mohns (Rae) of Petawawa, Ontario; and her sister-in-law, Viola Silverthorn of Kanata, Ontario.

Visitation will be at Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew Street, Pembroke, Ontario on Friday, June 22nd from 1:00-3:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m.  A service will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 605 Black Bay Road, Petawawa, Ontario on Saturday, June 23rd at 11:00 a.m., followed by interment in the parish cemetery.  For those wishing to honor Betty with a memorial donation, please consider St. John’s Lutheran Church, Petawawa.
