Betty Palma Miller

September 3, 1930 — December 17, 2024

MILLER, Betty Palma passed peacefully at the Pembroke Regional Hospital on Tuesday, December 17th, 2024, in her 95th year.

Betty Miller (née Rahn) of Pembroke, beloved wife of the late Walter Miller Jr. Cherished mother of David (the late Lynn) and James (Sherryl).

Betty said her greatest joy in life was being a grandmother. She will be deeply missed by her grandchildren Melissa, Lee, Matthew, Julie, and Jamie, along with her 12 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.

Daughter of the late Frank and Louise Rahn (née Brandstadt). Predeceased by her twin sister, Beryl and brothers Sonny and Alexander. Survived by her oldest sister, Francine Smith

Betty had an unwavering love for the many dogs she cared for in her lifetime. There is no doubt that she was greeted on the other side by many wagging tails. Her furry companion, Peppy, will deeply miss Betty’s love and affection.

Thank you to everyone who helped care for Betty, including the Country Haven staff, Dr. Forfar, Community Paramedic Sam, and the staff on the third medical floor at PRH. A graveside service will be held in the spring at Zion Lutheran Cemetery, in Pembroke. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the SPCA in Betty’s memory, honoring her lifelong love of animals. Arrangements entrusted to Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home.
