Bert Biesenthal

BIESENTHAL, Hilbert Gordon “Bert” (retired partner – Pembroke Auto Parts) – passed away peacefully, with his family by his side, at the Pembroke Regional Hospital on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at the age of 75 years.

Bert Biesenthal of Pembroke, former husband and still best friend of Gail Saar.  Loving father (Daddy) to Rebekah Mair-Coker (Gary), Ottawa; Julie Davidson (Don), Pembroke; and Ali Trebinskie (John), Eganville.  Cherished Grandpa of Jesse Mair; Jordan, Olivia, Tyson & Victoria Davidson; and Jamie & Jess Trebinskie.  Son of the late Ferdinand & Regina Biesenthal (nee Born); and predeceased by brother Manford Biesenthal & sister Evelyn Knoll (late Les).  Bert was a fantastic story-teller, with a wonderful sense of humour.  His skill with trades and tools of all kinds, especially woodworking, will long be remembered by those who benefited from them.  He will be missed.  The family would like to thank the staff at CareFor, Pembroke Regional Hospital and Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home for their compassion and care during difficult times.
