STEWARD, Barbara Ellen (nee Ogglesby) - passed away after a short illness at the Pembroke Regional Hospital on Thursday, January 9, 2020 in her 91st year. Beloved wife of 71 years to the late Donald Frank Steward. Dear mother of Sharon Dainty, Debbie Mick (Reid), Star Pearson, Fred Steward (Cindy) and son-in-law Keith Giller. Cherished grandmother of Jamey Mick (Sonia), Shawna Enright (JT), Jennie Mick, Katie Chuk (Mike), Rebecca Felber (Matt) and Eythan Steward (Janessa). Dearly loved by great-grandchildren Rachel, John, Isabella, Meredith, Daniel, Joseph, Kate, Eddie, Noah, Nila and Alivia. Barbara leaves behind her dearest sister Jean Miles, London, Ontario; and sister-in-law Louise Steward, New Brunswick. Predeceased by cherished daughter Frankie Jane Giller, sons-in-law Bill Dainty & Donald Pearson, and dear sister Alice Graham. Barbara was born and raised in London, Ontario. She was a very gifted tailor who loved cooking, knitting, sewing & painting. She loved gardening, bird watching and her yearly ocean cruises. She walked daily to the Petawawa River and honoured charities of small children and animals. Barbara devoted her life to her family and loved nothing more than to be surrounded by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Respecting Barbara's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family memorial service will be held. Arrangements entrusted to Malcolm Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, Pembroke.
