Barbara Dunham

DUNHAM, Barbara Anne - Passed away peacefully at Bonnechere Manor on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at the age of 80 years. Barb Dunham (nee Burridge), beloved wife of 51 years to Cliff Dunham. Devoted and loving mother of Cliff Dunham (Norma); Suzanne Peddle (Rick); and her late infant son David Dunham. Cherished grandma of Aysiah & David; and Arick (Olivia) & Ashley Peddle (Colt Kirbyson), and great-grandmother of Emmett Peddle. Survived by her brother Gary Burridge (Nell). Predeceased by her parents Norman & Ruby Burridge (nee Middleton), and siblings Bruce (Doris), Yvonne (late Cliff) & Paul. Barb's memory will be cherished by her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and brothers & sisters-in-law. Barb was a devoted nurse for 33 years working from 1959 until her retirement in 1992. During her time as a nurse, Barb proudly served the Canadian Forces for 14 years as a Captain in the medical branch, which included four postings to Europe. Special thanks to the nurses and staff at Bonnechere Manor for their excellent care for the past 11 years. Visitation will be held at the MALCOLM, DEAVITT & BINHAMMER FUNERAL HOME, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Tuesday, November 15 from 7-9:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 1-4:00 p.m. Funeral Service will take place in the Chapel on Thursday, November 17 at 10:00 a.m. Interment in Calvin United Cemetery. Members of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 72 are asked to assemble for a service at the funeral home Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. (As an expression of sympathy donations to the Alzheimer's Society of Canada would be appreciated.)
