BATTIST, Avis JennaDee Passed away peacefully at Belmont House, Toronto, on Friday, June 19, 2009 in her 94th year. Avis Battist (nee Moore), long time resident of Pembroke, beloved wife of the late James (Jim) Battist. Greatly loved mother of Carole Reeve-Newson, Toronto; Elaine Psaila (Steve), Toronto; and Merina Benner (John), Ottawa. Cherished grandmother of Erin, Kevan, Marnie & Denise and great-grandmother of Megan, Lauren & Sam. Daughter of the late Wordlow and Nettie Moore (nee Murphy). A Funeral Service will be held in Calvin United Church, 276 Church St., Pembroke, on Saturday, June 27, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Members of the Pembroke Chapter #288 Order Of The Eastern Star are requested to assemble at the funeral Home on Saturday at 10 a.m. for a service.
