MAVES, Arthur Elmer (former owner of M & W Electric Motor Service) - passed away with family by his side at the Queensway-Carleton Hospital, Ottawa on Saturday, August 13, 2016 in his 74th year. Arthur Maves of Pembroke, cherished husband of 48 year to Armelda "Amy" Maves (nee Shields). Father of Sheldon Maves (Charlene), Pembroke and Rev. Andrew Maves (Allyson), Digby, Nova Scotia. Grandfather of Logan & Jonah; and Ella & Elias. Son of the late Daniel and Ella Maves (nee Rucks). Survived by brother Charlie Maves, Springfield, Missouri, sisters Emma Wagner, Pembroke; Bernice Meullier, Smith Falls; and Eleanor Berger, Carleton Place. Predeceased by siblings Elsie Edwards, Esther Wagner, Moody, Reuben, Daniel and Donald Maves. Survived by many nieces & nephews. Respecting Arthur's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at Whitewater Wesleyan Community Church, Cobden on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Whitewater Wesleyan Church would be appreciated.
