HASS, Arletta Odria Louise
A long-time resident of Marianhill, Pembroke, passed away peacefully to be with her Lord on Easter Monday, April 13th, 2009 at the Pembroke Regional Hospital in her 101st year.
Arletta Hass (nee Schultze) was predeceased by her loving husband Arthur Hass (Detroit, Michigan), parents Oswald and Louise Schultze (Koepsel), brother Alfred Schultze, and sisters Elsie MacLaughlan, (Richard) Chatham; and Rhoda Biesenthal (Rudolph), Pembroke. She is survived by her only daughter Arletta Appler (Clarence), Pembroke; grandchildren Paul Appler (Linda), Windsor; and Elaine Kiehler (Clifford), Springs, Texas; seven great-grandchildren, Nigel, Sasha, Jasper, Justin and Taylor Appler, Windsor; Brittany and Courtney Kiehler, Springs, Texas. Fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews. Arletta will be sadly missed by her dear friend and niece Wanda Hass. Arletta was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church for 87 years and in her early years was a Sunday School Teacher and member of the Church Choir. She was a Medical Laboratory Technologist at the Pembroke Civic Hospital until she retired in 1973.
Resting at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew Street, Pembroke on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Service in St. John's Lutheran Church, Pembroke on Friday at 11 a.m. Interment in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery.
