STEENBAKKERS, Antonia Hendrika (nee Hellings) June 10, 1921 - September 20, 2008 Peacefully in the arms of her daughters and in the loving care of her family and the men and women at Hillel Lodge in Ottawa. Born in St. Oedenrode, Holland, Tonny followed her husband's dreams and came to Ottawa in 1951, where they raised three beautiful daughters. Predeceased by seven brothers and sisters in Holland. Devoted wife of the late Louis Steenbakkers. Cherished mother of Mieke Fox (Jack), Calgary; Drieke Gregory (Ted), Pembroke; and Laura Cooney (Allan), Dunrobin. Loving grandmother to Noelani Fox, Andrea Demarino (Matt), Jessica Zoback (Darryl), Martin Fox, Clinton Fox, Harry Gregory (Melanie), Peter Gregory (deceased), Alanna Cooney, Jessica Cooney and Bryce Cooney. Affectionate great-grandmother to Madison, Sydney, Peter and Julianna. Family and friends are invited to a celebration of Tonny's life at 2206 Dunrobin Road on Thursday, September 25 from 2:00-7:00 p.m. Donations in her memory may be made to Hillel Lodge, 10 Nadolny Sachs Private (K2A 4G7) in Ottawa.
