ECKFORD, Alvina Irene - passed away peacefully at Marianhill, Pembroke on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 in her 83rd year. Alvina Eckford (nee Millang) of Pembroke, wife of the late Calvin Eckford. Dear mom of Debbie Lubitz (Michael), Pembroke; Shelley Vea (Elmar), Ottawa; and Karen McKenzie (Michael), Pembroke. Predeceased by daughter Mary McKenzie (Peter), Eganville. Cherished Nanny to Tate & Kai Eckford-Vea; Patricia & Calvin McKenzie; and Mitchell (fiancée Amy Rutz) & Rebecca McKenzie. Sister of Beulah Anderson (Gordan), Harriet Campbell (Jack) and Lester Millang (Agnes). Predeceased by brothers Oliver & Lavern Millang; and sister Mariam Kjelland (late Harold). Survived by sisters-in-law Elvira & Eileen Millang. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Visitation at the MALCOLM, DEAVITT & BINHAMMER FUNERAL HOME, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Saturday from 7 to 9:00 p.m. Memorial Service will be held in Calvin United Church, Pembroke on Sunday, February 16, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. Spring interment in Cobden Union Cemetery.
