ROLLINS, Alva - passed away peacefully at the Pembroke Regional Hospital on Saturday, October 4, 2014 in his 89th year.
Alva Rollins of Snake River Line, beloved husband of the late Sylvia Rollins (nee Kippen). Dear father of Clayton Rollins (Janet LeBarr), Gerald Rollins (Louise), Gordon Rollins (Leann), all of Snake River; Susan Swan (Greg), Clinton BC; and Gail Smyth (Dave), Snake River. Predeceased by son Michael Rollins (late Pat). Cherished grandfather of Caeli & Alex; Amanda & Jessica; Ben, Abe & Anna; Stephen & Mark; and Drew, Cassie & Chris; and great-grandfather of Desmond, Phoebe & Isabel. Brother of Jack Rollins (Helen), Ena Leach, Eileen McDonald & Orville Rollins (Olive). Predeceased by sisters Ina Wilson, Sadie Burgess, Elsie Wilcox & Vivian Hall; and brothers Bill, Clarence, Earl, Clifford & Cecil Rollins. Survived by sisters-in-law Lucie Rollins, Betty Jeanne Kippen & Winnifred Kippen. Son of the late George and Annie Mae Rollins (nee Kenny). Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Thursday from 2 to 4:00 and 7 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in St. Patrick's Anglican Church, Lower Stafford on Friday, October 10, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Interment in St. Patrick's Anglican Cemetery.
