SCHWANTZ, Alma – passed away peacefully at Miramichi Lodge, Pembroke on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 in her 100th year.

Alma Schwantz (nee Ritcher) of Petawawa, wife of the late Alfred Schwantz.  Beloved mother of Willard Schwantz (Edwina) and Shirley Hampel (Terry) both of Petawawa.  Loving grandmother of Bradley (Courtney), Amy & Holly (Colby); and Erin, 6 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.  Daughter of the late Emil and Olga Richter (nee Kreese).  Survived by sisters Martha & Elsie and sisters-in-law Phyliss & Hilda.  Predeceased by 6 siblings and several brothers & sisters-in-law.

Visitation will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 605 Black Bay Rd., Petawawa on Monday, December 17, 2018 from 9:00 – 10:45 a.m., followed by the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m.  Interment in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, Petawawa.  Arrangements entrusted to Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, Pembroke.  As an expression of sympathy, donations to St. John’s Lutheran Church or the Dementia Society of Ottawa and Renfrew County would be appreciated.  Online donations/condolences are available at www.mdbfuneralhome.com.
