Alan MITTON

MITTON, Alan Shirley (Korean War Veteran and longtime member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 72 Pembroke) Passed away peacefully at the Pembroke Regional Hospital with his family by his side on Saturday, September 24th, 2005 in his 75th year. Alan Mitton beloved husband of Geneva Mitton. Dear father of Albert Mitton (Jo-Ann); Bruce Mitton (Linda); Joel Mitton (Heather); Jayne Cardiff (John); and Tracey Ruhnke (Jeff). Loving grandfather of 18 grandchildren and a deceased grandson and great-grandfather of 3 great-grandchildren. Brother to Ruth Brandon, Coldwater, ON. Predeceased by his brothers John and William Mitton and sisters Margaret Gaudette, Marina McConnell and Selma Watterson (Jack). Resting at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Monday from 2 until 4:00 and 7 until 9:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday, September 27th, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. Interment in Calvin United Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Members of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 72 Pembroke are requested to assemble at the funeral home on Monday at 7:30 p.m. for a service.
