Abife Doran

DORAN, Abife (Bea) Passed away at the Pembroke Regional Hospital on Thursday, January 6, 2011 in her 93rd year. Abife (Bea) Doran (nee McCullough), of Supple's Landing, Pembroke, and formerly of Forest Lea Road. Born and lived in Toronto, daughter of the late Jerry and Annie McCullough (Anderson). Predeceased by brother Merwin McCullough and sister Olga McCullough. Survived by sister-in-law Eleanore Levitt. Cherished mother of Gerry Doran (Chris); and grandchildren Shane Doran (Alesha), Chelsie Ashcroft (Al), & Jason Doran. Great-grandmother of much loved Kaden and Talia Ashcroft, and the new baby Griffin Doran. Adored aunt to many nephews and nieces and their families: Mark Christie, Gary Christie, Grant Christie, Laurie Christie-Veitch, Barbara Taylor, Doug McCullough, & Darlene Leat. Special birth mother of Jerry Friedman. She was the much loved and respected elder of our family, her sharp wit and entrepreneurial spirit appreciated by all of us. She will be missed. Resting at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew Street, Pembroke on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Service in First Presbyterian Church, 257 Pembroke Street W., Pembroke on Tuesday, January 11th at 11 a.m. Spring interment in Calvin United/First Presbyterian Cemetery.
